the rags of this gray material
runes on tiles of recycled clay
adrift on Escher’s staircase
remembrance
we’re seeds corkscrewing through particles of moments
filling up spaces between spaces in the photon-lit space
this illusion of time sustaining our minds
until we realize we’re not here.
